Bahle Park
An unbelievable oasis of green tucked right inside the village limits, these 30 scenic acres on the northwest side of town were donated to the citizens and friends of Suttons Bay in 1996 by several members of the Bahle family (Otto and Lena Bahle, Owen and Leila Bahle, and Peter, Edwin and Anna).
In addition to the plentiful, scenic walking and cross-country skiing trails, the park boasts a fantastic sledding hill and even a picturesque warming hut to take the chill out of those frosty winter afternoons. The spacious hut - complete with kitchen and fireplace - can be rented out year-round for organizational events or private parties but otherwise does not keep regular hours of operation. Warming hut rentals are managed by the Village; the cost is $50.
For more information on the park itself or to rent the warming hut, call 271-3051.
