Trails
The Boardman Lake Trail East, the newly constructed section of the TART Trail, spans two miles around the Boardman Lake starting at Hull Park by the Traverse Area District Library.
The Grand Traverse County Natural Education Reserve, which has several trailheads along the peaceful Sabin Pond and the rapids of the Boardman River, begins three miles south of Traverse City along Cass Road.
The preserve is run by the Grand Traverse Conservation District, which can be reached at 941-0960.
